For 2017, I have chosen to use the Robert Murray M’Cheyne Plan to read through the Bible in a year.  M’Cheyne (sometimes spelled McCheyne) was a 19th Century Scottish preacher, who in only 30 years of life made an impact on the world – so much that we are still using the Bible plan he authored today!  M’Cheyne’s Biography is free on the kindle app through Amazon.

This Bible Reading Plan takes you through the New Testament and Psalms twice and the Old Testament once, during the course of the year.  M’Cheyne planned for the reading of four chapters of the Bible each day from four different portions of the Bible.

Additionally, He devised two sections of daily reading.  One penned family and the other secret.  Consequently, the two daily family chapters were designed to be ready amongst family and the two secret chapters to be ready during a time of personal devotion.

You can learn more about the M’Cheyne plan here.  You can also download his reading plan here.  Happy Reading!
