It was the last song in our set at EPIC on Sunday. It was great, it was powerful, it was fun.
There was a point last week that I found myself remembering who I was. I am a reckless sinner with no chance to be clean or free from sin. It began to trouble me and it hit me to the bitter core. It was then that I was reminded of this old hymn that simply takes my breath away.
The very fact that “Jesus Paid It All” has never meant more to me. The lyrics to this song are absolutely incredible and they have been gripping me for the past week and a half. All my sin and all my stains have been washed away. Jesus paid my debt and raised my life up from the dead.
Also, on Sunday at EPIC we began two weeks of prayer and fasting. My goal is to sing this song ever time that I am hungry physically and spiritually…can’t wait!
Jesus Paid It All
And I hear the Savior say
Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness watch and pray
Find in Me thine all in all
Lord now indeed I find
Thy pow’r and Thine alone
Can change the leper’s spots
And melt the heart of stone
And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete
Jesus died my soul to save
My lips shall still repeat
‘Cause Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
-It’s washed away, All my sin and all my shame-
Oh praise the One Who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
