As of yesterday, June 22nd, 2008, I have exactly 2 months until I leave for Kansas City.  That is very exciting for me…even as I am spending some key moments of this summer with friends and family before we go our separate ways.  As I am preparing for my transition, I have a whole new list of goals for myself.

The first set of my goals are based on Luke 2:52 where it says “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”  This passage is after Mary and Joseph “lost” Jesus- they couldn’t find him.  Later they found him in the temple and Jesus was a Smart Aleck (I thought) in saying “Why were you searching for me?”…”Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” Mary and Joseph realized how important it was for Jesus to study in the temple.  At the end of this passage is the verse that my goals are based on.  Now, I want to continue to realize how important it is to continue to develop into a man of God.

My first section of goals are 1 year, 5 year, and 10 year goals.  There is a section for Wisdom, Stature, God and Man for each one.
